Tango Argentino in Graz

© severin
In the 80s of the last century it was the musician Klaus Johns, who laid the foundations for a new home of Tango Argentino in Graz. In 1994 a group of tango enthusiasts founded the association Tango GRAZioso which has been cultivating the folk dance and feeling for Tango Argentino since then.
Tango GRAZioso focuses on organizing dance workshops with European and Argentine maestros as well as dance events and concerts featuring local and international artists.
One of the central tasks is to liven up the tango scene of Graz offering continuous classes for beginners and the intermediate-1 level as well as prácticas. Busy contacts to other tango scenes in Austria and the neighbouring countries and numerous visits of Argentine artists make Graz an important center of tango in Europe.
