Tamara Juhan

Tamara Juhan's family comes from Estonia and fled to Germany in 1945. Tamara was born there in 1967. Maybe this is why she's got a certain affinity to tango, the music of the homeless ...

Tamara graduated at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Graz and was acting as an actress at different theatres for a few years. In 1994 she started to dance tango. Her most important tango teacher was Graciela González in Buenos Aires. Tamara got a profound technical tango education as well as the "consecrations" of dancing all night long during her trips to Buenos Aires she made at least once a year. Since 1998 she's been teaching tango in Hamburg. In 2001 she opened her own tango studio "el abrazo" there.

Several workshops between 1997 and 2002 as dance partner of Ulli Barth, since September 2002 she's been regulary teaching in Graz with Dörte Ricklefsen.
