Gregorio Garrido
Gregorio Garrido began studying tango in Santiago de Chile and took classes with several argentine teachers in Buenos Aires. He is actually living in Europe working as a dancer, choreographer and teacher on an international scale. His dance style is characterised by his dynamics, his amazing sense for rhythm as well as a high capacity to move and act vividly as a dancer. In his teaching he focuses on the secure handling of one's own axis, controlling of positions and free experience of space. He strives for amplifying and elaborating the possibilities that Argentine tango offers and for improving one's personal techniques. His main goal is to improve one's own style and techniques and to achieve a solid dance based on improvisations.
Dina Garrido
Dina has been addicted to the Argentine tango for 13 years. Since her early childhood she has been strongly linked to Spanish folklore which combined to her love for music helped her finding her way to tango. She has been studying the basics of Argentine tango for a long time with Chiche Nuñez and Amira Cámpora. After the intense and long time co-operation with Gregorio Garrido she found her teacher and dance partner who has been accompanying her into the professional world of Argentine tango. She is both working in the field of traditional tango as well as Tango Nuevo. While searching for new and further development of the dance she is constantly finding new impulses which she uses in her teaching. To bring her dance to perfection she is actually working with Alejandra Martiñan and takes classes of Pilates and Modern Dance. In her teaching she focuses on musicality, the connection within the couple as well as on posture. The essence, however, is transmitting tango as a "feeling" which means the dance partners should listen to each other and move with and to the music as a couple instead of simply performing several sequences of steps.
